What are your favorite scene/scenes from Fellowship of the Ring? For me this is a tough call. I think of the three movies, Fellowship was the strongest in depicting Middle Earth and getting the feel of it. I like a lot of scenes from this movie. Of course Bilbo's party was great, and so were the Black Rider scenes. I will say The Prancing Pony was my favorite, especially with Pippen's legendary "It Comes in Pints? I'm getting one!" Of course he already had a half, and he starts drunk-talking. The image of Strider smoking his pipe in the shadows was perfect book imagery to me! A few others I liked was Sarumann casting spells to bring down the snow, and a lot of the Mines of Moria part.

Those were all great! There are so many awesome scenes in all 3 movies.
For me....I love the council of Elrond, Gandalf's death and the crying afterwards (so well acted out and a very hard-hitting scene!), and I also love Boromir's fighting to the death to save the hobbits, and the scene where Frodo decides to set out on his own and Sam comes to join him. I love how well done all of these scenes were and how emotional and inspiring they are.

Oh man, I really loved the Fellowship - it did an incredible job of setting the scene and really getting you drawn into Middle-Earth! The very beginning, where the Elves, Dwarves and Men were receiving their rings of power - that was a powerful scene. The scene where Frodo hears the Nazgul's screech and the leaves swirl down the road and he instinctively knows something's wrong just sent shivers down my spine the first time I saw it.

I have to agree with that first scene where they are all getting their rings of power. Really loved those scenes.

Well my first exposure to the film was in 2011, so I was kind of a late comer to the series. My uncle had my sisters over to watch it one night. I showed up as Gandalf was fighting the Balrog, but my cousin wanted to show me something in his room quick. When I came back out and sat down this scene was just starting. I remember thinking, "These guys are cool!" Boromir was my favorite character right at that moment. Of course to find out a few minutes later that he is killed at the end. lol I tend to pick the characters that don't make it. Example Qui Gon Jinn. The music during this scene also resonated with me and from then on I have been a fan! But there are so many great scenes in this film! The Shire sequence, Boromir's death, just to name a couple more. Sorry for rambling on. lol

Hey, rambling is literally one of the purpose of a forum!! Lol 😆 No worries at all!
Those are excellent scenes, though!! It’s hard not to have your heart strings tugged when Boromir dies. They did so good at redeeming his character with that death scene. When Sam follows Frodo into the water is another really great one as well.

My partner got me the blu-ray extended editions for my birthday and we're planning on having a marathon! I already took them to a friend's earlier this year to do a marathon and the graphics still hold up incredibly well!

Awesome. I really need to just bite the bullet and order the remastered extended versions. (I’m assuming they have the extended version remastered) and do a marathon.
