Back on the original AU, I always liked to have a minimum of 2 RPs going at a time. 1 good LOTR RP and then a Star Wars RP. So, if anyone wants to start up a Star Wars Role Play, I’d love to get one started! I’m not particular on plot, setting, time period, or anything else really. If you have ideas, throw them out there! If not, no worries! I can easily come up with all the details.

I was thinking of responding to your ad on RP Repository, since I have a character named Jira Elnath that I play on the Force.net (haven't been there in a while, since I just recently got back into Narnia, and I've been busy with that fandom). Here's a little info on her (and a picture I made of her on Doll Divine a while back, I just didn't have a name for her at the time): Name: Jira Elnath Age: About 35 Race: Human Description: Long curly light brown hair, blue eyes, about 5'7 in height Homeworld: Deyer History: Jira was captured and taken prisoner to Corellia to work in the mines when she was in her mid teens. Adventurous teen that she was (for reasons that she still doesn't quite understand), she was often caught trying to come up with crazy scenarios on how to escape and go back to her homeworld, even though her homelife wasn't that much different than it was as a prisoner on Corellia. Jira finally got her chance at freedom when one Han Solo and a wookie by the name of Chewbacca (or Chewie for short) also got themselves captured and forced to work in the same mines as Jira. She never thought that she would seek out the life of a Jedi if one of her captors didn't do what she thought was a joke at the time and accuse her of being force sensitive. "Me? Force Sensitive?" Jira mocked, "You must be running a foul of Jedi Knights, and you think that anyone that's a little different of having these 'divine' powers, because I can tell you right now, that someone is not me. I come from a world with very little gravity, no moons, and swamps and lakes for crying out loud!" Even as she was saying this, it made Jira curious enough about the Jedi and their ways that she was often intrigued by the idea, but was unsure if she had the potential. For starters, wasn't she too old? But then again, so were both Anakin and Luke Skywalker, and though she wasn't planning on going down the same path as Anakin (didn't he turn into Darth Vader or something), but what about Luke? she often wondered. Perhaps we can start with Jira's rescue and the Jedi Council later finding out she's Force Sensitive (unlike Lord of the Rings, I've always preferred the "lighter' side of the Force, though I have favorites on both sides of the spectrum, so to speak. Almost makes me want to play Jedi: Fallen Order again, though I might have to buy it over. Good thing I got all those Walmart gift cards for Christmas, which also works online, since I bought a pair of pants with one).

Hey, sounds awesome!! I’m all for keeping the RP here as opposed to the RP repository. The more activity here the better. Love the character, by the way, and I usually tend towards light side characters as well, but I’ve done some pretty dark ones also. I’m good either way. Would you prefer I play the part of a fellow Jedi, or a non-Jedi companion? I’ve got a couple ideas, but I’ll try and flow with what you’ve got going here.
And yeah, Fallen Order is a really fun game. I’ve not played it all the way through. Sadly my computer is too old for it, but I played part of it on a relative’s X-box and really enjoyed it!

Probably a fellow Jedi would be best, since a non-Jedi wouldn't recognize that Jira's Force Sensitive (which she won't be inheriting from a family member gone bad, we've all seen how that always turns out, and it always involves the individual facing the corrupted family member as some kind of final test, and I don't want to put Jira through that, if I can possibly avoid it). The only darker characters I play are in the LotR fandom: Naelia and Orngor (her trusted Orcish helper, but since I never did a picture of him or Ormiak, another helper, I don't think I'll be adding him to my list of characters on RP Repository). The others are all lighter (even though I originally created Lathana, Naelia's half-sister on her mother's side to be a victim. She only went to live with Naelia because she had no other family after her mother was killed for attempting to take Naelia away from the only life she ever knew. Since she's always trying to escape, maybe it would have been best if Lathana stayed in Mirkwood or even went to live in Rivendell to save her from this fate). The only reason I didn't respond to your ad was because I'm not planning on killing off Jira any time soon. For starters, I need her for the Guardians of Light thread on the Force.net (she's almost to the point where she gets assigned a Master, just five more Force Points to go).

Alrighty, finally got a new character worked up! What do you think?
Name: Glade Myst
Age: 33
Race: Half Mirialan and Half Miraluka
Homeworld: Alpheridies
Description: Glade looks much like a basic human. Being a cross, he has the sensing ability of the Miraluka to “see” the force, but also inherited eyes from his Mirialan mother. He is shorter, only 5’ 6” tall, but has an extremely athletic build and excels at physical activities and exercises. He has black hair, sun-tanned skin with a slight blueish tint in the right lighting, purple eyes, and a short diamond face shape. He typically wears a dark brown outfit of leather pants and vest with a Jedi robe that is midnight blue on the outside and light brown on the inside.
Weapons: A single bladed lightsaber with a violet core and an aqua blue color on the outside.
Personality: Glade is calm, collected, and calculating. Not necessarily in the same way as the typical Jedi, though. Glade’s Miraluka father passed on to him a strong connection to the force, but many of his force abilities are somewhat unhelpful in Jedi training and combat. Others are extremely heightened. He can see the force around everyone, and instantly knows if they are light, gray, or dark. His force jump is unprecedented, and he has the unusual habit of hearing the force like a whisper in his ear or an audible voice. All his other, more typical force abilities, are average or below. Because of this he has had to rely on his physical prowes and cunning, calculated wit to get him through his Jedi training.
History: Glade was born on Mirial, his mother’s home-world, but when his mother died he was only 2. His father took him back to Alpheridies after that to be with family, but the boy’s curiosity about his mother’s heritage eventually drew him to leave the peaceful existence there. He traveled to Mirial at the young age of 7, against his father’s wishes. It was there that he learned of his mother’s connection to the Jedi. She has been trained at a very young age, but her force powers were so weak that she was honorably discharged from the Jedi ranks. She continued to work closely with the Jedi after that as an informant, courier, or any other odd job they would offer her. When she met his father and realized his force potential, she married him in hopes of having a child that could some day fulfill her dreams for her of becoming a Jedi. Once he learned this truth, Glade’s heart was set on fulfilling his mother’s dying wish. He applied to the Jedi academy at 8 years old, and barely made it in. He worked hard through the years to perform in his new occupation, but his learning was slow. Now, at the age of 33 he has been given his very first real assignment. There was a slavers ring operating mines on Corellia, illegally using slave labor to mine resources. Glade was sent to infiltrate a shipment of new slaves, work as one of them until he gathered enough intel to take the slavers down, and then sneak out and return to the Jedi Council with his findings.

Sounds interesting. Do you want to start this or shall I? It might be better if you did, to give me an idea of where to start. I don't know where I came up with Jira being a slave on Corellia (though it was probably something on the Guardians of Light thread on the Force.net, in the Expanded Universe section), since I've haven't read many Star Wars novels (just movie adaptions of The Phantom Menace and part of the prequel to Rogue One). The name I found on a site of what your name would be if you lived in the Star Wars universe. Since I didn't like the result of my own name (it said I would become a Dark Mistress of the Sith by the name of Tobbi Wessiri. Umm, I think not, thank you very much), I just did a general search and chose the one that I liked the best, since it gave a little history on the character.

i'd also like to join this, if it is an open RP still. I currently don't have a profile, but I can write one up later. I have a character that is a droid. I just wanted to post to show my interest.

Hey guys, sorry I've not posted. I keep meaning to add a character. Life just gets in the way. Go ahead and start without me. I'll be playing a droid anyway, so I can just dive right in and you guys can just find me somewhere or whatever works.

Hey, it’s all good! Life is way too efficient at doing that. I figured life had you tied down. So, here we go I guess. A bit short, but that’s about average for my posts. I find a few paragraphs per post (especially the more players you get) is much easier for everyone to keep up with and therefore we’re less likely to loose participants. (IC) Glade kept his head down, bumping shoulders with the other slaves as they were hustled through mines like a herd of nerfs. The rags they wore would hardly be enough to protect them against the long harsh rain storms of Corellia’s wet patches. In the mines, it was little more than a covering to allow them to maintain their dignity — at least most of it. The new batch of slaves was quickly shuffled in, given an oppressive speech about the prospective punishments that awaited if they refused to work, and then pushed directly in line with the working slaves that already occupied the underground horror that they now called home. Glade picked away at the dirt for hours on end until quitting time. They had 9 hours to eat and sleep — barely enough time for a person to recoup if they weren’t already in good physical condition. For his first day, Glade kept his head down. He needed to secretly gather information on the slavers to take back to the Jedi, but if he started off asking too many of the wrong questions, it was bound to raise some eyebrows. He didn’t need any added attention. For now he would see if he could surmise how the pecking order went amongst the slaves. Who was in charge? Who were the troublemakers? Were there even any trouble makers? Were there any clicks and small groups of suspicious activity? Any rebels waiting for a break to escape?

Lonannuniel - No worries, jump in when you can. I'm actually playing Jira in two places; here and on The Force.net (my username is Force of Light). She just made Padawan (took me long enough, since I joined the Guardians of Light a while back, left long enough to get purged, and then I had to start all over again)!
Jax Nova - Don't worry about length, since when you're first developing the character, it might not be as long as you originally intended. Since Jira's quite developed, mine might be a little longer (though this is the first time I've delved into her history, which I'll also be doing in a RPG on The Force.net, even though the time period is set during the Sequel Trilogy, which might still work, since I rarely mention time periods in any of my role-plays)...
(IC)
25-year-old Jira Elnath couldn't believe how stupid she had been. Usually, she was quite good at avoiding capture, but here she was, on Corellia, being forced to work in a mine as a common slave!
"How could I have been so stupid to fall for that line?" she continued to ask herself, but something strange had been happening to her of late, ever since one of her captors accused her of being Force Sensitive. "What planet does he think he's on?" the young adventurer thought at the time. Though she heard of the Jedi and the Force, she never thought that someone would accuse her of all people of having these divine powers as she liked to call them. Jira, unlike one Han Solo, didn't mock the Force, but she didn't exactly know what it was or what it's purpose was. "To control others?" she didn't think so (Jira heard a lot of rumors, and wasn't sure what to believe). She also gave the captor who accused her of this a bit of a lecture:
"Me? Force Sensitive? You must be running a foul of Jedi Knights, and you think that anyone that's a little different of having these 'divine' powers, because I can tell you right now, that someone is not me. I come from a world with very little gravity, no moons, and swamps and lakes for crying out loud!"
Jira was originally from the world of Deyer, so she was used to being bundled up in warm blankets and the like, since she often liked to explore the various swamps and lakes of Deyer when she was a child, but one thing she didn't like was looking like something somebody's pet (or other creature they liked to keep as a companion, since Jira knew what it was like to be left alone for a long time) had dragged in (no matter what world they originally came from), and as she was being shuffled in, another slave seemed to catch her eye...
She didn't know why this particular slave caught her eye, it was almost as if she sensed something about him... "Get a hold of yourself, Jira, you don't have those powers!" she scolded herself, as she thought back to the accusation one of her captors placed upon her when she first got captured. "Why would someone accuse me of such a thing?" Jira continued to beat herself up over the thought, but then again, she was trying to make a harrowing escape at the time, so perhaps he was just trying to put her in her place, so to speak, but then what was she supposedly sensing about this other person? Was he even a slave? Jira had to get her thoughts in order before another of her captors put any more of these crazy ideas into her head...
I made Jira a little younger, since it might have been 5, 10 years ago since she's been rescued (especially if she just made Padawan)...

OOC: Sounds good! I’ll let you bring Han Solo and Chewbacca in whenever it suits your plot. IC: Glade had gleaned a few interesting bits of information from watching and listening to random conversations, but one prisoner seemed to pull on his sense more than the others. She had long curly light brown hair, blue eyes, and stood about 5 foot 7 inches tall. The force aura that he could see around was strong and most certainly of the light side of the force. Yet, she didn’t seem to utilize her abilities. “She must be untrained,” he mumbled to himself. The force whispered in his ear, though, every time he saw her. It urged to him to make her acquaintance and insisted she would play an important role in what was to come. The Council had sent him to gather info on the slavers, not find perspective Jedi recruits... but it seemed as though the force might have had different plans. Later that day as they all fell in line for their evening meal, Glade situated himself right after the young woman. He greeted her with a nod and a smile as he stepped in line behind her.
